Dishwashing liquid or better known as dishwashing detergent are used in washing dishes. It is composed of a high foaming mixture of surfactants with low skin irritation and it is mainly used for washing of plates, glasses, sink and other cooking utensils. Dishwashing detergent is used for other applications like making bubbles, cleaning oil affected birds and car washing. But, do you know that washing hair with washing up liquid is also possible?  Washing soda or sodium bicarbonate is used for dishwashing and it can also be used in some places with hard water. It is used for washing the dishes before detergents were made during the World War I.

The oiliness of the scalp can be because of the overproduction of sebum, which is the natural oil made by the body. This leads to greasy strands on your scalp. Additional sebum is a result of a genetic predisposition hormonal influences, improper diet, weather, seborrheic dermatitis and medicines like birth control pills. Usually, sebum is solid at room temperature and it melts down with the temperature of the body. This means that the hair is more likely to feel very oily around the scalp where the hotness of the scalp may keep the sebum liquid.

Having oily hair is too embarrassing and if you have an oily hair, then you need to keep an eye out for the best oily hair treatments available these days. There are lots of solutions available out there; some are expensive, while some are not. You can buy some, but there are some that can be found in the comfort of your home. Some people, though their hair do not get too oily want to always look for something new, though they failed a lot of times, they never got tired of seeking for the best solution for their needs. 1. Shampoo often

One of the easiest ways to fight oily hair is to shampoo daily. Usually it will be better to wait for 2 days before you shampoo, on the other hand, when you have oily hair, this may seem impossible. If the scalp is filled with oil, the method will not hurt the hair. It will just help with handling the oily look.

All you need to do is to put a few drops of water into the shampoo and then scrub the scalp, but make sure you use the palm of your hands and not your fingernails. Washing hair with washing up liquid can help in eliminating some of the oil from your scalp.

3. Lemon juice

Lemon juice is also a great not just for your overall health, but also for the hair. You can use it for hair treatment and for lightening the color of your hair. You can use it for your hair, all you need to do is to mix it with 1 cup of water and then rinse your hair using the mixture. Let it sit on your hair for a while and then rinse with lukewarm water.

4. Aloe Vera gel

Aloe Vera is a good home remedy for oily hair. You can also mix it with any kind of shampoo for a more effective result. In a cup of gentle shampoo, mix one teaspoon of lemon juice and one teaspoon of aloe Vera gel from the fresh aloe Vera.  When you have mixed it well, you can now apply the mixture on your oily hair and then leave it there for a while until the mixture react on your hair for several minutes, before you rinse it off with water. You can keep the remaining mixture in the fridge for a week or so. This is not harmful to the hair, so you can use it daily if you want to.

5. Egg yolks

Egg yolks were proven to be good not just as a source of protein, but also for the hair. It helps in the proper conditioning of the hair and it is also good for eliminating some of the oils on your scalp. It is a home remedy that was used since the ancient times. All you need to do is to take 2 egg yolks and then beat it well. In the mixture, add some drops of lemon juice and beat it again. Afterwards, pour the mixture on your wet hair and then let it sit there for 5 minutes. Rinse it thoroughly and make sure there will be no residue left on your scalp. You can also use the mixture on your hair at least three times weekly just to remove excess oil.

6. Apple cider vinegar

One way to eliminate excess oil on your hair is to use an apple cider vinegar with water as a conditioner replacement. You just need to dilute the apple cider in water, so the scalp will not burn. Add 2-3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar or white vinegar in a cup full of water and then mix it well. Rinse the oily hair with this mixture and then wash it after a few minutes. Use this process for at least 3 times a week to get rid of your oily hair problem.

7. Use dry shampoo

If you do not have enough time to go through wet shampooing, you can use a dry shampoo instead. All you need to do is to put some talc or baking soda on your scalp, but be sure to dust it off right away. The talc on your scalp can help in preventing the oil to react with your hair, this way the hair will not look like it is soaked in oil. You can use cornstarch instead of talc. Be sure to wash it off after a few minutes. You can also use a baby powder for the scalp. Sprinkle it on your scalp and then leave it to the rest for 5 minutes and then you need to comb your hair very well. This will be very effective in soaking some of the oils on your scalp.

8. Healthy diet

Keeping a healthy diet is very important in eliminating some oil in your hair. It is very essential to always drink lots of water to keep the body well hydrated all the time. Be sure you elude consuming a lot of oily dishes. You also need to add some healthy oily foods like olive oil, fish and nuts in your diet. It is essential to eat lots of fruits and veggies to keep your scalp healthy at all times.

Oily scalp nowadays may be linked to poor hygiene and stress. If you have greasy hair, the hormones that are responsible in controlling the oil production in the scalp may be out of control. Having oily hair under control by means of daily shampooing and using products meant for your hair type can help in solving the problem. How often you shampoo your hair and how greasy it gets must be solved right away or else, it can affect your social life and your self-confidence too. Having oily hair tells you that you need to wash your hair daily, especially if the scalp tends to become oily. You need to use a clarifying shampoo for 7 days before you give your hair a good break. After that, you can now use a gentler type of shampoo for your daily use. If ever the oiliness of your scalp comes back, just use the clarifying shampoo once again and do this routinely to solve the problem.

The foods that you eat and your lifestyle, have something to do with your hair as well. The state of the hair may be a result of your overall health. It is not all about your looks, however, your looks can affect your self-confidence somehow, and the hair serves a biological purpose as well. Just like the skin, it helps the body in regulating temperature and in keeping the heady warm all the time. Though, emotional stress, genes and hormonal problems affect your diet, hair and appearance, there is a saying that every nutritional deficiency can affect your health and your hair, nails and skin somehow.  You need to eat oily fish, because the fats that they contain can do wonders on your hair, skin and your overall health too. These fatty acids are the best for the skin, nails and hair. They can help in boosting the skin and the hair to grow, while keeping the bone healthy and regulates your metabolism at the same time. There are other researches that show how these oils can fight hair dryness and improve the condition of the scalp at the same time. Because the hair is composed of protein, you need to eat foods that are protein enriched like Chia seeds, flax, sunflower & pumpkin.  They can encourage the hair to be stronger from the roots to the tips and they can help in boosting to the scalp and the metabolism too. You can eat on a salad and add some brans and sauces to make them tasty. These foods will be good for your overall health and more so for your hair.

loily hair problem. Oily hair people frequently loss their hair. I also faced this problem. The cause of my hair loss was oily hair, excessive use of shampoo. For the oily hair problem dust gathered in my hair. When I heckled my hair a large amount of hair would be lost.
