Question: Does anyone have other favorite ways to add protein to your hair routine, other than olaplex?
Jennifer Boyce: Hi Jess! That is very good advice. In addition to using Olaplex once a week(or every other week if that’s all you can)lowering heat and washing less, adding a plant based protein conditioner(I like wheat and soy based)and also balancing with a Moisturizing leave in or rotating a moisture based deep conditioner with the protein conditioner is basically meeting all needs of damaged hair to strengthen and help it recover. Here is a great blog. Many ways to understand what your hair needs and why! Hope this helps! ??
Jessica Marie: Surface Hair Trinity line protein cream. It’s a leave in spray I use during the day
Niki Nichols: I LOVE joico revitaluxe! Its a great balance of protein and moisture – a perfect follow up to your olaplex 3 treatments! The Joico KPAK shampoo and conditioner are also amazing for stressed, protein-hungry hair.
Paula Kelly: Olaplex contains no protein, but my fav protein is joico revitalux
LeAnn Renner: I really like Matrix Instacure .. a protein spray. Spritz when I need it. Then I apply Lanza Trauma Treatment over top. Allow to air dry for a bit and then do my reg morning routine.
Pamella Hall Fortune: Olaplex doesn’t have protein, but I love the redken extreme collection!
Martha Negual Carter: Aphogee Two Step Protein Treatment is highly recommended by people who bleach. I’ve used it right before color and had great results. It has a hideous odor, but if you follow the directions to the letter and follow up with a moisturizing hair mask it works wonders.
Christopher Stanton: I would def say stay on top of your no.3! A little trick I tell my clients is to put the no.3 in your hair on a day your free and cleaning your house or doing projects at home and to put a cap on. The heat from your scalp will open up your cuticle and let that no.3 do its thang! Rinse with cool water always! ??
Subha Asad: I leave it overnight with cap?Is it ok
Christopher Stanton: Subha Asad def! I’ve done it before when my hair was over processed. It definently helped. Of course everyone has different hair textures so it’s to your liking as to how long you wanna leave it. ?
Sahtaj Ahmed: I do it as well… It works great!
Dani Bohm: Definitely once weekly no.3 treatments!! I love Malibu Miracle Repair for protein or their Rehabilit8.
Wendy Falcone Jenkins: While olaplex doesn’t have protein, using olaplex increases the surface area of the internal structure of the hair giving protein more surface to adhere to. Like others have mentioned above, finding the perfect balance of moisture and protein is key. One of my favorite conditioners to recommend is Malibu miracle repair. Love it with Olaplex
Subha Asad: Just want share my happiness I bought salon kit for my personal use

Subha Asad: Dear I reside in UAE.And I chked with olaplex distributors in here it’s avaible but in too high price but it’s original
Sahtaj Ahmed: Can you please advise which are available in India pls
Jennifer Boyce: Of course! You can send an email to [email protected] and let them know where you are located. They can help you find a salon ?
Sahtaj Ahmed: No honey I have already done the olaplex but I need to know about the protein treatment post that… Do u think keratin would help?
Jennifer Boyce: Sahtaj Ahmed there are many protein based treatments that are amazing. I always choose one that has a plant based protein and cannot cause the hair to become brittle. Best advice is to consult with a pro stylist and he/she can evaluate your hair and recommend the best deep conditioner for your hair type ❤️
Sahtaj Ahmed: Thanks honey Jennifer Boyce ?
