Question: Is it safe to sleep in Olaplex #3 ?

Olaplex: As a company we do not recommend sleeping in Olaplex treatments as it could get into your eyes. However, we have received great feedback from people who have used it this way.
Dana McCook: I always leave Olaplex Take Home in overnight
Lisas N Love: It is always dry by the time my head hits the pillow! I wouldnt suggest sleep with it wet unless you wear a cap on it. ☺
Dana McCook: My hair is past my waist. I apply Olaplex Take Home; braid it & go to bed. I don’t rinse it out til next evening. No issues
Annette Van Goodman: I am working on growing my hair past my waist. Right now my bangs are shoulder length and the back is bra strap length. How did you care for your hair to get it that long. Thanks in advance ?
Dana McCook: For one thing I do NOT trim it every 6 weeks like many stylists insist. My hair is trimmed less than 1/4 inch once every 9 MONTHS. I do not use ANY heat appliances and since my hair is naturally dry & very course I shampoo only once every 4 WEEKS. I never use anything with sulfates or alcohol on my hair.

Diane Johnson Wabick: Dana McCook You wash your hair once every four weeks. That’s crazy! Your scalp and hair must smell! I’ve heard once a week maybe even once every two weeks if they’re very old.
Dana McCook: Nope! Scalp nor hair smells. It takes 2 to 3 days for my hair to dry after shampooing so my hair smells freshly shampooed for a VERY long time. I apply coconut oil to my scalp & hair daily as well so my hair smells like coconuts constantly

Dana McCook: Suddenly dawned on me…why the concern over keeping it on overnight? If it’s not SAFE to keep on overnight I wouldn’t consider it safe for use PERIOD! Are we going to find out a few years from now that it should’ve had a medical alert or warning⁉️

Donna Hogg: Olaplex does not recommend sleeping in it because some may drip down and irritate the eyes. That being said, many people do sleep in it; though it is only active while still wet on the hair. The people that do sleep in it, love the results!! Somebody asked about the difference between Olaplex #2 and #3–the only difference is the % of the active ingredient—Olaplex #2 is salon professional strength, while the #3 is for client’s home use.

Daniel Boulis: Yea, some of my clints apply olaplex and it doesn’t dry out till 2 days after. Olaplex is the best!!!
