Thanks for accepting me. I have a question. I have seborrheic dermatitis (if you are aware to that, then it is known that greasing and oiling the scalp will makes it worse.). I am planning on buying Nizoral to cleanse my scalp and hair. Does anyone know if the leave in conditioner and the moisturizer would work well with this shampoo? Thanks in advance for answering my question.

Dennis Chukwuemeka: I have suffered from that b4 but it is under control now (stress impacts flare ups a lot!). Get one of those bottles with the spout like you would use for a hot oil treatment and put some of the shampoo with a little water inside. That applicator tip allows shampoo to just touch scalp and not hair which is where the prob is. I think those two products would be fine with that shampoo. But again to reduce drying out your hair avoid shampooing your actual hair

Tamar Guy: Thank you Dennis! Is this how you control your flare ups? Along with stress management?

Dennis Chukwuemeka: My husband and I share a page… confessing but my name is Stephanie lol. Yep that’s how I control it. I don’t even have to use the shampoo anymore. I gradually cut back on how frequently I had to wash with that shampoo. Cowashes in between. Most ppl who don’t have the condition really don’t understand. You’re welcome!

Dennis Chukwuemeka: Confusing*

Tamar Guy: Thank you Stephanie! Is it okay if I reach out to you with more questions?? I’ve been struggling with this for the longest and it is now thinning my hair out.

Tamar Guy: How often do you cowash? Do you do a deep cleaning?

Dennis Chukwuemeka: Yes of course! Yea a side effect of that shampoo is thinning thats why it’s so important to get it under control. I consider that shampoo the “deep cleaning” bc it is so harsh. Freq of cowash depends on how frequently you can go between styles and the itchiness seborrheic dermatitis causes.

Dennis Chukwuemeka: Like now i probably “deep clean” once a month, and cowash the rest. But also bc mine is under control I can deep clean with a milder shampoo. Tea tree and lavender oils should become your friends! My regimen used to be coconut oil with tea tree and lavender essential oils warmed, oil my scalp to lossen any plaques, small tooth comb to any stubborn plaques, then wash just scalp with Nizoral.

Tamar Guy: Can I please send you a pm?

Dennis Chukwuemeka: Yea!!

Althea Gibson: I also suffer from Seborrheic Dermatitis. I ordered the products last week. I was so excited to try them. I applied the products as recommended and my dermatitis flared up. Within 24 hours, I had to shampoo the products out. The products may be great for my hair, but my scalp could not handle them.

Dennis Chukwuemeka: I hate to hear that althea.

Tamar Guy: Althea Gibson, what products did you use?

Tamar Guy: I can’t use the oil. I used the the leave in conditioner and moisturizer with the Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo. And only used the cowash every two weeks. And I alternate with applying to my hair dry and then making sure that my hair is drenched before using the cowash
